IRC Server rules and code of conduct:

While we hope you enjoy your time spent with us, we must ask that you obey the following rules:

* No child porn links or illegal sharing.
Sharing of child pornographical material will not be condoned and you will be without hesitation akilled from the network.
* No flooding.
This includes mass ctcp messaging, memoserv flooding, flooding within a channel or to another user causing disturbance, invites, etc.
* No harassment.
This includes users of the network and/or staff by any means: racism, nickname stealing, channel stealing, etc.
* No DOS [denial of service] attacks or threats to any user and/or staff. Such attacks are punishable under international laws and will not be tolerated.
* Mode +s in adult rooms.
We ask that rooms containing explicit adult references to sexual or otherwise adult material are set to +s. Dorksnet is patronised by minors and their situation should be considered.

Failure to abide by the aforementioned rules can and will be enforced by whatever means necessary whether by channel operators or, where necessary, by the network administrators and operators.

Further rules may be put into place by a channel operator. While visiting a channel, all rules of said channel apply to you unless they are in direct violation of one of the rules mentioned above. While server operators may not agree with all rules, they will not interfere with any put into place by channel administration and should not be expected to do so.

You will not hold the Dorksnet network and linked servers liable and/or responsible for any content, material, files viewed or obtained. By making use of this server you agree that you are responsible for any and all damage you may incur.

Website Rules

The DorksNet website should be an informative and entertaining website for all, and to ensure this we ask you to obey the following rules:

* No pornography of any kind should be uploaded to the server
Server space is limited, and we ask that in order to keep the server running affordably and legally, that you not upload any pornography or other such material for avatars or otherwise. If caught, you will be banned from the site and possibly the IRC server as well.
* No copyrighted or otherwise illegal materials should be uploaded to the server
This will be strictly enforced. If we find that you have uploaded any such materials to our servers we will alert your isp to your unlawful behavior after we ban you from the site without notice.
* No creating accounts for the purpose of impersonating another member or person. Such actions will result in the deletion of the account you tried to use malliciously as well as your own account. We ask that you please use common courtesy in manners such as these.
* No leeching images
If you need to post an image, either save it to your own website or upload it to our servers (option only enabled for some members). First offenses will results in warnings, but further infractions may result in removal of your site or account, depending on how you leeched the image.
* No spamming quotes
Don't submit bad quotes to the QDB, and we also ask that you not submit a quote more than once. This is common sense, really.
* No linking to goatse, tubgirl, or any such overlinked websites.
This is really just plain annoying. We've seen them before, they're disgusting, yes. Stop linking to them, you king of humor. Also included in this clause are websites that generate infinite popups, links to close an account, or anything of that nature. Any such action will result in such a pinching you'll wish you'd never been born.
